The Data Warehouse Developer at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business-driven information system solutions that meet the needs of the organization. This role requires a solid background in data warehouse development, with a focus on designing, building, and maintaining data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts to understand business requirements and create technical solutions using appropriate tools. Proficiency in Power BI is preferred, as the role involves creating insightful visualizations and reports based on the data stored in the warehouse. In this position, the Data Warehouse Developer will design and develop new functionalities for existing and new applications to support the company's data warehouse and reporting strategy. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to gather requirements and define data warehouse architecture and ETL processes. The developer will also be responsible for developing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Monitoring and resolving data warehouse issues, as well as implementing solutions to improve efficiency and reliability, are key responsibilities. Additionally, the developer will create and maintain documentation for data warehouse processes, data mappings, and data dictionaries. They will develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize data and provide insights to stakeholders. The role also involves identifying new technologies or technological improvements to enhance usability, stability, and maintainability of applications. Providing technical consultation to internal business partners and seeking opportunities for improvement within the business intelligence and development team are also part of the job.
