About the position
The Data Warehouse ETL Developer and Administrator (Epic) will be responsible for providing ETL services for medical claims and payor data, migrating claims processing to Epic standard schemas, and optimizing data processing. This role requires strong SQL skills, experience with SSIS, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assess the feasibility of Epic standard Caboodle schemas for QIP eligible Claims processing migration.
- Combine custom SSIS packages for QIP Payor Data into one QIP master package.
- Investigate improvements to the processing of Claims, including SQL best practices.
- Provide ongoing assessments of additional improvements to Claims processing.
- Recommend a migration plan to Epic standard Caboodle schemas for QIP eligible Claims.
- Develop and test solutions for combining SSIS packages and migrating Claims processing to Epic schemas.
- Document solutions and save in the County's Software Development Lifecycle repository.
- Update reports and dashboards when workflow or application changes occur.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of ETL development experience, preferably in the Epic domain.
- Strong SQL development skills using industry best practices.
- Working knowledge of healthcare financial and transactional files (billing, eligibility, claims).
- Experience in building scalable data architecture and full data integration solutions.
- Experience with importing data from and to 3rd party agencies or vendors.
- Ability to follow Enterprise Software Development Life Cycle standards.
Nice-to-haves
- Strong Microsoft SSIS experience.
- Strong Microsoft SQL experience.
- Strong Caboodle development experience for both Epic and Non-Epic data.
- Strong Epic Clarity and Caboodle data model knowledge, including financial and clinical aspects.
- Healthcare financial data acumen.
