About the position

The Trading Snowflake Data Developer at Capco is responsible for providing technical support and development expertise for Data Warehouse technologies within the Global Trading portfolio. This role focuses on delivering scalable, enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency for internal customers. The position requires collaboration with various teams to gather requirements, execute projects, and support existing data warehouse products.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and development expertise for Data Warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Microsoft SQL, Azure, HANA) in the Global Trading portfolio.
• Develop or enhance visualizations, reporting, data models, data integration, and ETL activities.
• Support and maintain existing data warehouse products, including troubleshooting and break-fix activities.
• Execute demos, projects, and proof of concepts in development or technical design.
• Collaborate with project teams, business customers, and other support partners in solution ideation, requirements gathering, and product delivery.

Requirements

• Strong technical competencies in Snowflake, SQL, JavaScript, Java, .NET, Python, and data modeling.
• Experience with visualization techniques and tools such as Power BI.
• Knowledge of Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) systems and processes.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban).
• Ability to manage workload under time pressure and changing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure and on-prem environments.
• Knowledge of API connectivity and security aspects (SSO).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like OpenShift.
