About the position

The IT Data Warehousing Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to support business decisions within the organization. This role involves validating data sources, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve information flow issues. The analyst will facilitate meetings to gather requirements, produce reports, and assist in the development and testing of business applications. The position requires a strong understanding of data warehousing methodologies and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data to support business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for data reuse across the enterprise.
  • Validate data sources and ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients to gather and document requirements.
  • Gather data and reporting requirements, detecting patterns in data.
  • Analyze and document client's business requirements and processes.
  • Collaborate with teams and vendors to define needs and facilitate solutions.
  • Provide input into system modifications and develop business specifications.
  • Create test scenarios and develop test plans for business applications.
  • Assist in analyzing testing results throughout the project.
  • Coordinate business analyst tasks on IT projects and provide support to team members.
  • Provide on-call second-level escalation response for client issues.
  • Assist in providing time estimates for project-related tasks.
  • Ensure proper documentation and on-time delivery of functional artifacts.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of applicable work experience required.
  • Good understanding of HIPAA data Privacy and Security requirements.
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Healthcare experience including knowledge of EDI transactions; knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial products; understanding of ACA.
  • Experience in data warehousing and data Mart environments.
  • Deep expertise with Oracle database including SQL/PL SQL, indexing, partitioning, views, materialized views, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Understand Star Schema, Snowflake, and Data Warehouse methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with UNIX operating systems and Oracle database is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems, and ongoing technical support.
  • Experience with FACETS, IKA, PEGA, and Windows and UNIX operating systems is preferred.
  • 3 years of applicable experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Pay rate of $40-46 an hour with benefits.
