About the position

The Database Admin and ETL Development position at NTT DATA involves supporting and maintaining databases in various environments, with a focus on SQL server management and ETL processes. The role requires a combination of technical skills in database administration, performance tuning, and ETL development, aimed at ensuring optimal database functionality and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Support databases in various environments.
• Install, configure, plan and maintain systems.
• Install SQL server software and configure for databases and provide resolutions for databases.
• Coordinate changes to databases and troubleshoot SQL server node/instance eviction issues and document best practices.
• Create ETL packages using SSIS/Informatica.
• Resolve ETL process issues.
• Troubleshoot databases and write T-SQL Scripts.
• Plan, coordinate and implement disaster recovery, plan and security measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering in any field, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience in a related IT occupation.
• Alternatively, a master's degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering in any field, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related IT occupation in lieu of a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience.
• 3 years of experience with installing SQL server in a Windows environment.
• Database performance tuning; optimizing SQL queries; T-SQL; relational DBMS; data warehouse; XML; ESB or SOA technologies and integration.
• 1 year of experience with ETL tools (SSIS, SSRS reporting, Informatica or Business Objects).
