About the position

The position involves working closely with Database Administrators to enhance data infrastructure and management practices at Paycom. The role requires high-energy individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies. Responsibilities include providing database support for enterprise applications, collaborating with QA and Development teams, implementing database changes, and maintaining documentation related to database processes and models.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate activities related to service disruption in all environments.
• Create and document database standards and provide training to ensure compliance.
• Build and maintain deployment packages for database change scripts.
• Produce and maintain documentation as required, including process maps, data models, training materials, and user manuals.
• Review error logs and address issues as necessary.
• Participate in ticket resolution activities for database environments and systems.
• Troubleshoot database server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends.
• Attend meetings related to database maintenance and ETL processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in a technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
• High capacity for learning and ability to pick up new concepts quickly.

• Understanding of computer concepts.

• Basic understanding of database concepts.
• Ability to perform under direct supervision from Database Team Lead and Supervisor.
