The Database Administration Manager is a pivotal role at Hunt Capital Partners, responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of Portfolio Monitoring and Client Relationship Management software. This position involves managing database system improvements, which include customization, security maintenance, data audits, and the introduction of new functionalities. The Database Administration Manager will also create and maintain documentation and training materials, serve as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas, and assist subject matter experts in ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. In this role, the Database Administration Manager will execute the strategic direction of the company's data strategy in collaboration with company leadership. This includes collaborating with various departments to identify information needs and develop data processes or reports to deliver the required information. Regular data audits and validation will be performed, with follow-ups for corrections as necessary. The manager will also conduct requirements system reviews and proactively develop and modify processes to meet business needs and drive efficiencies. The position requires managing the design, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of database system enhancements. The Database Administration Manager will work closely with functional and technical staff to identify, execute, and implement upgrades or fixes to the database system as needed, documenting processes and results. Additionally, the role involves providing support for the database systems, researching and resolving problems, performing scheduled activities, and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. The manager will also be responsible for writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools, assisting in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs, and developing dashboards and reports for internal developers and special requests from investors. Establishing and maintaining security and integrity controls for the database systems is crucial, as is managing user access and onboarding new users. The Database Administration Manager will also provide training on current, new, and enhanced features of the database systems, ensuring timely communication of information to impacted users. Staying updated on current trends in database systems, with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, is essential for success in this role.
