About the position

The Database Administration Manager is responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining Portfolio Monitoring and Client Relationship Management software used by Hunt Capital Partners. This role involves managing database system improvements, including customization, maintaining security, conducting data audits and corrections, and introducing new functionalities. The manager will create and maintain documentation and training materials, serve as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas, and assist subject matter experts in ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. In this position, the Database Administration Manager will execute the strategic direction of the company's data strategy in collaboration with company leadership. They will collaborate with each department to identify information needs and develop data processes or reports to deliver the required information. Regular data audits and validation will be performed, with follow-ups for necessary corrections. The manager will conduct requirements system reviews and proactively develop and modify processes to meet business needs and drive efficiencies. The role also includes managing the design, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of database system enhancements. The manager will work with functional and technical staff to identify, execute, and implement upgrades or fixes to the database system as needed, documenting processes and results. They will provide support for the database systems, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results, or process flaws, and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Additionally, the manager will serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders, utilizing project management skills to manage projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, support, and maintain Portfolio Monitoring and Client Relationship Management software.
  • Manage database system improvements including customization and security maintenance.
  • Conduct data audits and validation, following up with teams for corrections.
  • Develop and modify processes to meet business needs and drive efficiencies.
  • Manage design, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of database system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and implement upgrades or fixes to the database system.
  • Document processes and results related to database management.
  • Provide support for database systems, resolving problems and recommending solutions.
  • Serve as a key liaison with third parties and stakeholders.
  • Utilize project management skills to manage projects effectively.
  • Write, maintain, and support reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for internal developers and special requests.
  • Establish and maintain security and integrity controls for database systems.
  • Manage user access to database systems and train new users.
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation for database systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in database administration and/or client support required.
  • 4-6 years of database system implementation and management experience required.
  • 1-3 years of project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and report writing required.
  • Experience with Pereview and Juniper Square preferred.
  • Expert skills in MS Excel including Macros/VBA required.
  • Thorough knowledge of the M365 Platform and cloud-based systems required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and use a variety of software applications required.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities required.
  • Strong understanding of database design, structure, functions, and processes required.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Information Security standards and practices required.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills required.
