About the position
The job profile for this position is Database Administration Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services, Inc.
Responsibilities
- Create databases in multiple environments as determined by business needs.
- Support application releases through manual and automated processes.
- Ensure stability of database environments through the implementation of backup, recovery, and alert functionality.
- Support day-to-day requests from the application team, which includes database loads, creation of IDs, database backups/refreshes, and performance tuning.
- Create and/or enhance internal processes for database creation and support.
- Troubleshoot database performance problems and implement resolutions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in any IT role, or a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in any IT role.
- Experience with Oracle database administration with multi-tenant architecture.
- Knowledge of database standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Oracle 19c experience with latest tuning and optimization techniques.
- Oracle DB upgrade experience with Oracle 12c & 19c.
- Experience in relational and dimensional data-modeling.
- Designing and developing new databases and schemas.
- Familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, TOAD, and Putty.
