About The Position
OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Database Administrator 2 to work in Annapolis Junction, MD. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases. This includes critical tasks such as disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data. The Database Administrator will also be responsible for administering, maintaining, developing, and implementing policies and procedures that govern database management. In addition to these responsibilities, the Database Administrator will evaluate and recommend available database management system (DBMS) products to ensure that the organization is utilizing the best tools for its needs. The role involves performing database and software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance while complying with business requirements. The successful candidate will have experience in Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase database and application server administration. Furthermore, the Database Administrator will be tasked with organizing and formatting data to facilitate efficient query and storage processes, ensuring that data is accessible and manageable for the organization’s needs.
