About the position
The Database Administrator 3 position at S Linx LLC is a contract role focused on developing and maintaining high-performance database solutions for the TIERS applications portfolio. The role requires a strong background in Oracle database technologies and involves working closely with application development teams and business stakeholders to enhance and implement new solutions. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability and performance, providing support for database operations, and utilizing Agile methodologies in their work.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve database solutions for the TIERS applications portfolio.
- Work closely with application development teams and business stakeholders to enhance the TIERS applications portfolio.
- Perform advanced logical database administration and database development, including performance monitoring and tuning.
- Provide database-related support to application development teams, testing, and defect repair.
- Utilize Agile development practices for backlog grooming and user story development.
- Design, develop, build, and test databases to support new program and business requests.
- Provide application and database operations triage support to troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, development, and test environments.
- Develop and modify existing Linux shell scripts for daily LDBA tasks and provide process documentation.
- Design and develop Enterprise CI/CD workflow for database automation using tools like Jenkins.
- Implement Oracle APEX tool set and manage SQL and PL/SQL code.
Requirements
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining high-performance enterprise software solutions using Agile methodologies.
- Strong background in Oracle database technologies, including Oracle 11/19c, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with APEX development and web platform technologies such as Java/J2EE, SOAP/REST web services, Spring, JPA, jQuery, and AngularJS.
- Knowledge of database structures, theories, and current database technologies.
- Experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming work.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with PostGreSQL and IBM WebSphere.
- Familiarity with EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
