Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases, including versions on Linux systems.
• Develop tools to administer large numbers of test and development database environments.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for production and development database systems.
• Design, install, and maintain large size databases.
• Set up infrastructure for databases in datacenters and cloud environments.
• Move live production, development, and testing databases across different physical sites.
• Administer Oracle databases on Oracle Exadata database machines, including configuration and patching.
• Administer MSSQL Server and EDB PostgreSQL Enterprise databases.
• Migrate, configure, and support Oracle databases on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Perform database refreshes/clones and support building development and testing databases.
• Troubleshoot database software and infrastructure issues, engaging vendors as necessary.

Requirements

• 8 years of in-depth knowledge of Oracle internal views, shell & SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
• 8 years of experience managing Oracle databases on Linux systems, including shell scripting and tuning.
• 8 years of solid experience in managing Oracle version 19 databases, Real Application Clusters (RAC), and Active Data Guard.
• 8 years of experience developing tools for administering large numbers of test & development database environments.
• 8 years of experience providing 24x7 coverage for production & development database systems.
• 8 years of experience designing, installing & maintaining large size databases.
• 8 years of thorough knowledge and working experience in setting up infrastructure for databases in datacenters and cloud environments.
• 8 years of working experience in moving live production, development, and testing databases across different physical sites.
• 8 years of experience administering Oracle databases on Oracle Exadata database machines, including configuration and patching.
• 8 years of experience administering MSSQL Server and EDB PostgreSQL Enterprise databases.
• 8 years of experience with migration, configuration, and support of Oracle databases on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• 8 years of experience performing database refreshes/clones and supporting development and testing databases.
• 8 years of experience troubleshooting database software and infrastructure issues.

Nice-to-haves

• 4 years of experience using Remedy, ITSM, PPM, and ServiceNow.
