PACCAR is seeking a Database Administrator 3 to manage and maintain the company databases of simple to high complexity. This position will help optimize database configuration and access, resolve database performance and capacity issues, and perform database recovery and backups. The role involves database development and SSIS package creation and maintenance, as well as managing SSIS Package/Job schedules and troubleshooting. The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing backups and restores, building and managing databases/instances, and ensuring instance and database security. Performance tuning is a critical aspect of this role, along with maintaining test, certification, and production environments. Compliance with the change control process, patching compliance, and audit compliance are also essential responsibilities. In addition, the Database Administrator will manage Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI, engage in SQL design and development consulting, and create and maintain detailed standard work/procedure documents. Providing technical support and guidance to end users, completing daily operating system health checks, and supporting scheduled after-hours maintenance are also part of the job. The ability to be on call for 24/7 support is required, ensuring that the databases are always operational and performing optimally.
