About the position

TJFACT is seeking to hire a Database Administrator / Analyst with Technical Skills to join our Team! This position will support the CDC-DHP in Atlanta, GA. The candidate shall independently provide system updates and enhancements, organizational processes, and systems to improve the effectiveness of both organizational strategy and operations of programs supported by DHP. This will include updating, enhancing, and maintaining the data repository and internal Power BI-based DHP Dashboard, and other program management tools to track progress efficiently and effectively toward national goals and manage/monitor DHP recipients. The contractor shall support DHP at all levels and perform and complete all activities. This role is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements analysis by creating mockups and wireframes for design, development, or enhancements of Power BI-based internal Dashboard modules/views.
  • Develop a functional prototype of the internal Power BI-based DHP Dashboard in accordance with the approved dashboard project design plan.
  • Perform and complete design, development, and enhancements in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle best practices.
  • Ensure the development and modernizations of Dashboard modules/views adhere to Section 508 Compliance requirements.
  • Develop Power BI Dashboards based on approved requirements and existing Dashboard to perform business enhancements, including detailed business and system impact analyses.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for relevant product suite, including applicable coding languages such as Python, R, and DAX language for custom formulas.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation and information to analyze processes, procedures, and policies implemented in the creation of the applications.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical design documents for each product, including data models and data dictionaries, and store them in CDC-owned tools such as MS Teams, JIRA, or SharePoint.
  • Create and maintain a requirements repository for each product in the CDC cloud environment (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
  • Host requirement review sessions for development approval to ensure they meet functional and business needs.
  • Use Scaled Agile framework for system development and conduct sprint demos to stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and develop all dashboard technical solutions using a two-week (bi-weekly) sprint model.
  • Perform unit testing to ensure the dashboard functions as per the defined requirements, using tools agreed upon between contractor and COR.
  • Ensure that copies of all documents are made available to DHP OPI/OIDM staff on the shared CDC site (e.g., MS Teams).
  • Supply all source code developed as part of this Task Order to a repository (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket).

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Obtain HSPD-12 Clearance
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator / Analyst

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Power BI and creating interactive dashboards.
  • Proficiency in relevant coding languages such as Python, R, and DAX for custom formulas.
  • Familiarity with APIs and machine learning technologies like Natural Language Processing (NLP)
