About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator and Reports Specialist with expertise in SAP CDS Views to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, a deep understanding of SAP CDS Views, and experience in developing and maintaining complex reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor database health and performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Manage and maintain database systems, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Implement and enforce database security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Backup, restore, and copy databases as needed (i.e. refresh test databases with production data periodically).
• Maintain legacy application in a Visual Studio Environment (VB.NET, ASP.NET).
• Maintain database objects (i.e. stored procedures, triggers, functions, etc.) in Oracle PL/SQL.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex reports using SAP CDS Views and other reporting tools.
• Collaborate with business users to understand their reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize CDS Views for performance and scalability.
• Create and maintain documentation for CDS Views.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in database administration, preferably with SAP HANA or other enterprise-level databases.
• Strong understanding of SAP CDS Views and their role in data modeling and reporting.
• Proficiency in SQL and other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with reporting tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in SAP HANA or other relevant database technologies.
• Experience with SAP ABAP or other SAP development tools.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
