Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Database Administrator to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role is pivotal in our IT transformation journey, aimed at enhancing operational support systems and processes across a diverse portfolio. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements that optimize the value chain, ensuring operational stability, security, and availability of our database systems. You will work closely with developers, system analysts, engineers, and functional managers to maintain high standards of database management and adhere to organizational controls and best practices. In this exciting position, you will design, implement, and maintain database solutions that align with company standards and industry best practices. You will take the lead in identifying root causes of issues, driving actions to prevent recurrence, and focusing on higher-value opportunities. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the planning, execution, and success of complex database projects, supporting the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from inception to production support. You will also implement and enhance backup and recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring that our database systems are robust and reliable. Additionally, you will proactively monitor all database systems to maximize availability and minimize downtime. You will create and maintain documentation on standards, procedures, and processes, facilitating continuous improvement through innovation and adherence to industry best practices. Your role will involve liaising with vendors, customers, and other IT personnel to triage problem resolutions and coordinate dependencies across multiple projects.
