As a Database Administrator / Database Developer specializing in SSIS/SSRS, you will play a crucial role in administering, developing, testing, and demonstrating databases. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of database functions across multiple teams or clients. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, as well as managing backup and recovery processes and configuration management. You will be expected to install database management systems (DBMS) and provide valuable input for modifying procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and daily maintenance tasks. In this position, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be responsible for collaborating with and managing your team to ensure effective performance and decision-making. Engaging with multiple teams will be essential, as you will contribute to key decisions and provide solutions to problems that arise both within your immediate team and across various departments. Your advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) will be critical to your success in this role. Additionally, you will be tasked with designing and implementing efficient and scalable database solutions, performing regular maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and performance tuning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues. Developing and executing database testing strategies to ensure data integrity and performance will also be a key responsibility. Staying up to date with the latest database technologies and best practices is essential to maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the database systems you manage.
