The Database Administrator/Developer position at PROSOFT involves working as part of a larger team and in small project teams to design, create, maintain, and manage Command databases. The role requires expertise in Extract Transform Load (ETL) solutions, indexes, T-SQL, and data manipulation scripts, including stored procedures, tables, views, functions, reports, and forms. The successful candidate will apply Department of Defense (DoD) data standards to all software applications and database data elements, ensuring that logical data models are fully attributed and normalized. In this role, you will provide technical support for various database operations, including creation, modification, testing, administration, monitoring, tuning, backup, and recovery. You will also be responsible for designing and creating SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and providing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for the delivery of information. Monitoring and maintaining databases to ensure optimal performance is a key aspect of this position, along with implementing data management standards, requirements, and specifications. Additionally, you will work on data mining and data warehousing applications, employing Agile methodology and Scrum framework for software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management systems, query languages, and data analysis, with a focus on normalization, ETL processes, and business rules. You will need to demonstrate skills in database creation and development in Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS, T-SQL, SQL agent jobs, and SQL Reports. The ability to optimize database performance and manage complex database structures is essential, as is the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
