About the position

The Database Administrator for Development at the Province of St. Joseph of the Capuchin Order is responsible for administering the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the Development Team in managing donor information and gift processing. This role involves coordinating data retrieval, report customization, and maintaining security and quality control of the database, while exemplifying the Capuchin Charism in all professional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Raiser's Edge Systems Administrator and ensure accurate processing of gifts, pledges, and payments.
  • Manage the Raiser's Edge database to maintain user access and security settings.
  • Develop reports and queries to analyze program results and donor profiles.
  • Liaise with the Finance Office for monthly reconciliation and audits.
  • Assist in the annual department budget process and monitor monthly revenue.
  • Train staff on correct procedures for Raiser's Edge data entry.
  • Ensure accurate record transfer among different database systems.
  • Develop and document database policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in multiple software applications related to Development or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Raiser's Edge Enterprise and NXT.
  • Knowledge of Luminate, SQL, and Volunteer Hub.
  • Understanding of donor/development relationships.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Pivot tables.

Nice-to-haves

  • Blackbaud bCRE certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit environment preferred.
