About the position

The Database Administrator II at Oneida Innovations Group, LLC plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the organization's databases. This position involves utilizing a database management system to effectively organize and store data, ensuring that the databases are optimized for performance and security. The Database Administrator will be responsible for ascertaining user requirements, creating computer databases, and testing and coordinating necessary changes to the database systems. This role requires close interaction with both development teams and end-users to determine application data access requirements, transaction rates, and volume analysis, which are essential for developing and maintaining integrated databases. In addition to database administration, the Database Administrator II will be tasked with planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard the databases. This includes administering, testing, and implementing computer databases while applying extensive knowledge of database management systems. The individual will also coordinate changes to the databases and maintain them within specific application areas, either working independently or as part of a collaborative team. This position is contingent upon a successful contract award to Oneida Technical Solutions, which highlights the importance of this role in supporting the IT Division within the NSWC Corona Division.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of professional experience administering, testing, and implementing computer databases
  • Secret clearance
