About the position

This position serves as a Database Administrator within the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), focusing on maintaining operational efficiency, backups, and optimization of database servers. The role involves conducting in-depth technical research and systems analysis, as well as daily monitoring and documentation of operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate in-depth studies involving substantial technical research and systems analysis.
• Perform problem diagnostics of complex operating systems and issues.
• Serve as project coordinator for major and complex projects, including large hardware/software deployments and installations across multiple agencies and locations.
• Monitor systems daily and document operational processes.
• Stay updated on new developments in the Information Technology field.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong technical research and systems analysis skills.
• Ability to diagnose complex operating system problems.
• Project coordination experience, particularly with large-scale deployments.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in Information Technology.
