About the position

This position will focus on System Databases with frequent user interaction. The primary responsibilities include application and database development, analyzing and troubleshooting system-related issues, providing system support, and maintaining database backup plans to ensure restore capabilities and disaster recovery. The role also involves preparing data for analytical and operational use, developing data integration strategies, and ensuring the successful implementation of those strategies. This is a hands-on role that will require frequent technical interaction with applications and databases. The successful candidate will support the organizational data strategy that aligns with business processes, integrating technical functionality to ensure data accessibility, accuracy, and security. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining database backup and restore plans, contributing to and maintaining database resiliency and high availability solutions, and analyzing and organizing raw data. The role requires applying data science techniques to data sets, improving data quality and efficiency, and developing reports as required by the business from idea through completion. Additionally, the candidate must rapidly gain and apply knowledge of GLC manufacturing processes, understand Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs) and change management, and define functional requirements for manufacturing systems in collaboration with GLC automation control specialists. Daily interaction with Maintenance and Operations is essential to solve issues, and proactive monitoring of shop floor systems is necessary to ensure maximum system uptime. All employees are expected to perform assignments according to stated safety policies and procedures and to promote products and services in a manner that exceeds customer expectations by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and policies outlined in the Safe Quality Food Program. The position may require willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Support organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes.
  • Integrate technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.

  • Produce and promote products and services in a manner that exceeds customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, OR 2 years' experience in a related field.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server (SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS, queries, stored procedures, views).
  • Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter, curious, and inquisitive.
  • Basic understanding of network design and network hardware.
  • Ability to work in both office and production settings.
  • Able to work in the US now or in the future without corporate sponsorship.

  • Aveva/Wonderware MES experience.
  • Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk suite of products.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC Ladder Logic.
