Leidos is seeking a Database Administrator to join a Government-Contractor team that provides support for a near real-time, geospatially accurate Common Operating Picture (COP) toolset. This toolset is essential for sharing and reusing geospatial intelligence across various functional areas to support military operations. The Database Administrator will be responsible for creating, managing, optimizing, and deploying GEOINT databases onto customer hardware and software baselines. This role will also involve providing expertise to enhance the performance of GEOINT databases across the entire program, including both testing environments and deployed instances. The Database Administrator will administrate the organization's database using a database management system to organize and store data effectively. This includes testing programs or databases, correcting errors, and making necessary modifications. The role requires planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure. The Database Administrator will work as part of a project team to coordinate database development, determining project scope and limitations, and writing and coding logical and physical database descriptions. Additionally, the Database Administrator will train users, answer questions, and specify user access levels for each segment of the database. They will also approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases. Reviewing project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish projects is also a key responsibility. The role includes developing standards and guidelines for the use and acquisition of software while protecting vulnerable information.
