About the position

CGI Federal is currently seeking Database Administrators with active Top-Secret clearances to support a large project for a federal government client. This position can be filled in Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL. The individual will work with an established team of developers, application engineers, and other DBAs managing a complex solution that supports multi-site replication, concurrent application users, logical and physical replication, and multiple reporting solution databases. The role requires experience in developing, executing, and evaluating database code, functions, and queries on an Oracle database platform. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and administering Oracle databases, as well as utilizing Oracle utilities, administration, and OEM management. To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 1-3 years' experience as a Database Administrator. Experience with Oracle Database Administration across various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, AIX, and Solaris is essential. Knowledge of Active Data Guard and familiarity with other database technologies like SQL Server, Informix, DB2, MySQL, and SAP Hana is considered a plus. Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills are necessary, as well as a desire and ability to work within a team environment of experienced DBAs. Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required, and an active Top-Secret clearance is mandatory.

Responsibilities
