About the position

The Database Administrator at Adventure Technology Services is responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, availability, and compliance of databases throughout their lifecycle. This role involves performing disaster recovery, performance analysis, tuning, and monitoring, as well as evaluating and recommending database management system products.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain database integrity, security, availability, and compliance with business processes.
  • Perform disaster recovery, performance analysis, and tuning.
  • Conduct index maintenance and monitoring.
  • Evaluate and recommend database management system products.
  • Perform database and application server administration.
  • Organize and format data for efficient query and storage.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience as a DBA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Four (4) years of additional DBA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
