About the position

The Database Administrator at ATS is responsible for managing all company databases, ensuring their integrity, performance, and security. This role involves preparing, modifying, installing, testing, and maintaining databases, as well as identifying and resolving system software issues. The Database Administrator will also develop system documentation, design and maintain the enterprise data model, and evaluate products for potential purchase.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in the ITS Department and serves as a consultant.
  • Identifies emerging technologies and selects those that address business objectives.
  • Conducts high-impact studies and makes recommendations for adopting improved technologies and methodologies.
  • Develops, maintains, and modifies the corporate database schema.
  • Coordinates projects with vendors and other staff members.
  • Assesses the impact of hardware and software changes in development and production environments.
  • Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches.
  • Tests and documents modifications when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of Oracle databases.
  • Experience in managing Oracle databases that run EBS applications.
