The Database Administrator is a crucial technical member of the IT team at Clinica Sierra Vista, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the performance, security, and reliability of our database systems. This role requires a candidate with experience in an enterprise IT environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Database Administrator will support and partner with business stakeholders to create data marts while ensuring high confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. In this position, the Database Administrator will participate in developing IT strategies in collaboration with stakeholders, design and implement Azure ETL and data pipelines to support data ingestion, integration, and reporting capabilities. The role also involves creating and maintaining documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and data pipelines, as well as collaborating with developers and IT staff to identify and implement enhancements. The incumbent will evaluate, recommend, and select data warehouse components, support the design and implementation of process enhancements, and develop complex scripts and reports using various analytical tools. Additionally, the Database Administrator will monitor database performance, ensure data security and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, and establish regular communication with end users regarding data activities. Staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies in database administration and data engineering is also a key responsibility.
