As a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) at CACI, you will play a crucial role in supporting software and systems engineering as well as interoperability engineering technical services for our Government customer. Your primary focus will be on the PDSS and PPSS mission, which serves worldwide customers, including Program Executive Officers (PEOs), Project Managers (PMs), Project Directors (PDs), and various components of the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) and other Department of Defense (DoD) elements. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and high availability of PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server database management systems (DBMS) that support several applications on the DCGS-A program. In this role, you will develop and implement policies and procedures that guarantee the performance and security of these databases. You will have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL databases in both Linux and Windows environments, setting up, monitoring, and maintaining PostgreSQL instances. Your responsibilities will include certifying the availability and performance of the databases, ensuring they have sufficient resources allocated for high resilience and speed. You will also assist developers in performance tuning and proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimal downtime. Additionally, you will be involved in the maintenance of the databases, including rollouts, patching, and upgrades, while ensuring compliance with Database DISA STIGS.
