The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. The Bank is seeking an experienced Database Administrator with SQL Server/Oracle Database administration skills and a strong background in hybrid cloud hosting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL Server and Oracle administration coupled with expertise in AWS services, particularly AWS RDS SQL Server and DMS. Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, and experience with serverless computing using AWS Lambda functions are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and managing SQL Server and Oracle databases on premises and in AWS RDS, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement hybrid cloud database solutions aligned with business requirements. Additionally, you will develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, and Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of a hybrid cloud database environment. Migrating on-premises databases to AWS using DMS, DMS CDC, and developing custom CDC scripts will also be part of your responsibilities. You will monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of a hybrid cloud database environment, implement cost optimization strategies, and ensure efficient utilization of database resources. Furthermore, you will perform database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities with minimal downtime and risk, and implement and manage database backups, replication, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Continuous improvement of database infrastructure and architecture to support evolving business needs and best practices will be expected.
