Genesis10 is currently seeking a Database Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, and Richmond, VA. This is a 12+ month contract position that requires a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in managing Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, specifically supporting large Oracle environments in UNIX. Experience in financial institutions is a plus, as the role involves working with sensitive financial data and ensuring the integrity and performance of database systems. The Database Administrator will be responsible for supporting Oracle RAC on UNIX environments, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in this area. The role requires expertise in Oracle performance tuning and upgrading Oracle RAC versions 19c and 23AI, as well as experience with GoldenGate 23 AI environments. The candidate should also be proficient in configuring GoldenGate and building and supporting Oracle Dataguard. On-call pager duty is part of the job, so candidates must be prepared for this responsibility. In addition to the technical skills, the role requires experience with shell scripting and Perl, as well as familiarity with standard Oracle tools such as OEM, Toad, and SQL Developer. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of Oracle 19c and Oracle 23AI, along with Oracle GoldenGate and its performance tuning capabilities. This position offers a competitive pay range of $55.13 - $63.13 per hour, and only candidates who are available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this opportunity.
