About the position

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to work with our IT Team in support of our contract with the Drug Enforcement Agency's Diversion Control Division. Under general direction, the Senior Database Administrator will design, implement, and maintain complex databases, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, security, documentation, and statistical methods. This role requires the individual to work at the highest level of all phases of database management, ensuring that all databases are compliant with security standards and operational requirements. The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for maintaining all Oracle and SQL Server databases to be STIG compliant, ensuring the integrity and security of multiple databases in both Windows and Linux environments. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures for database security, providing installation, monitoring, patching, and database administration operations and maintenance services. The role also involves diagnosing problems with Oracle products using the Oracle Enterprise Manager and analyzing the installation and configuration of new Oracle versions. The candidate will work in a fast-paced operations and development environment, requiring excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and outside auditors regarding database security.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all Oracle databases to be STIG compliant.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of multiple databases in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of all Oracle databases.
  • Provide installation, monitoring, patching, and database administration operations and maintenance services for Oracle Database, Oracle Advanced Security, Oracle RMAN, and Oracle RAC on Linux and Windows environments.
  • Diagnose problems with Oracle products using the Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  • Analyze and support the installation and configuration of new Oracle versions.
  • Maintain all SQL Server databases to be STIG compliant.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of multiple SQL Server databases.
  • Provide installation, monitoring, patching, and database administration operations and maintenance services for SQL Server.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with client, team members and outside auditors regarding database security.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
  • Must successfully pass a government issued background investigation.
  • Experience in implementing DoD/DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements across multiple Oracle database environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Advanced Security and Oracle Security Patching.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining Golden Gate replication.
  • Experience in implementing DoD/DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements across multiple SQL Server database environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of replication, security and encryption.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience; 11 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a college degree.
