About the position

The Database Administrator role involves managing and optimizing Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance for multi-terabyte systems. The position requires expertise in Oracle Database 12c or higher, Oracle RAC, and advanced SQL, along with experience in performance tuning and shell scripting. The role also necessitates collaboration with large teams using Microsoft O365 applications and communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Support multi-terabyte databases and perform advanced performance tuning.
• Utilize Oracle RAC and Golden Gate for database management and replication.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for database automation and monitoring.
• Collaborate with large teams using Microsoft O365 applications and MS Teams.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience with Oracle Database 12c or higher.
• 8 years of experience with Oracle RAC.
• 8 years of experience with Golden Gate.
• 8 years of experience with advanced SQL.
• 8 years of experience with shell scripting.
• 8 years of experience supporting multi-terabyte databases.
• 8 years of advanced performance tuning experience.
• At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• At least 2 years of experience with MS Teams and Channel communication.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government).
• Experience with SharePoint.
• Experience with Jira.
• Experience working with the Scrum framework.
