Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator to join our team in the DMV area. We have opportunities in the Washington, DC area as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland. If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply. As a Database Administrator, your responsibilities will include designing and creating SQL tables, unstructured data systems, and data transmission interfaces for the interconnecting system associated with the prototype's design. You will ensure security measures, manage user access, perform backups, instance tuning, and implement security controls to protect the data management system(s). Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with software development teams and other Database Administrators to ensure the integrity and security of the database systems. This role requires a proactive approach to database management, ensuring that all systems are optimized for performance and security. You will be expected to stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the database systems you manage. Your contributions will be vital in supporting the mission of ManTech and ensuring the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and creating SQL tables, unstructured data systems, and data transmission interfaces for the interconnecting system associated with the prototype's design.
  • Ensuring security measures, managing user access, backups, instance tuning, and implementing security controls to protect the data management system(s).
  • Collaborating closely with software development teams.
  • Working collaboratively with other Database Administrators.

Requirements

  • 2 Years of relevant job experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field may be used to substitute 2 years of additional experience.
  • DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification must be obtained within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.

Nice-to-haves

  • Vendor tool certifications appropriate to TDL requirements (e.g., Oracle and Mongo).
