About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Warehouse and ETL with a focus on Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional database solutions in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain database systems in Azure including PostgreSQL, Data Warehouse, and SQL Server platforms.
Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
Develop and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and indexes to improve performance and efficiency.
Implement and enforce data security and compliance standards, including data encryption, access controls, and backup strategies.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure database compatibility and integration with applications.
Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent and demonstratable experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
Strong proficiency in Azure, PostgreSQL, Data Warehouse, and SQL Server.
In-depth knowledge of database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.
Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong understanding of data security and compliance regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
