Connex Credit Union is seeking a Database Administrator who will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our enterprise reporting database. This position is essential for ensuring that our data infrastructure supports the business needs effectively. The Database Administrator will be responsible for report building, ad hoc querying, and evaluating business reporting needs to develop a robust data structure. The role involves mapping data from various sources into a suitable format for analysis and reporting, ensuring that the database is secure and efficient. In this position, you will be tasked with building, maintaining, and monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly import processes, utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other relevant technologies. You will document and update data warehouse mappings and implement security measures to protect our database integrity. As a cross-trainer and backup for other IT areas, you will collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations across departments. Your responsibilities will include identifying data sources, developing database schemas, integrating data through ETL processes, and monitoring daily loads. You will also perform ad hoc queries and create standard reports for business users, ensuring that the databases are maintained for integrity and availability. Troubleshooting database issues and implementing data backup and recovery mechanisms will be part of your daily tasks. You will design, develop, and manage relational databases to optimize performance and security, leveraging your advanced SQL skills to support analytics and reporting needs.
