About the position

As a Database Administrator at Booz Allen, you will play a crucial role in managing and securing database technology, specifically focusing on MS SQL and PostgreSQL databases. You will utilize your technical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize database performance, and ensure that the database systems are functioning efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage data access and support practices for MS SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Analyze policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database.
  • Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in mission-critical databases.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to align database technology with organizational goals.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and optimize performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in information technology.
  • 2+ years of experience in MS SQL.
  • 1+ years of experience with PostgreSQL databases.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cloud-based database solutions.
  • Experience in non-relational databases.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure.
