The IBM DB2 LUW Database Administrator position is a critical role that requires extensive experience in managing and optimizing DB2 LUW databases. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and configuration of DB2 LUW database software on servers, ensuring that the database environment is secure, efficient, and compliant with relevant regulations. This role involves performance tuning, where the administrator will monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient operation. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with understanding and testing backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity, as well as developing and testing disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss in the event of a system failure. The position also requires strong experience in High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) environments and Dynamic Partitioned File (DPF) environments. The administrator will need to troubleshoot any DPF issues and drive MIM/P1/P2 bridge calls as necessary.
