Capacity planning is also a critical aspect of the role, requiring the candidate to estimate future database growth and plan for additional capacity as needed. Comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides is expected to be maintained. Collaboration with other IT professionals, such as system administrators and application developers, is necessary to ensure smooth integration and optimal performance. The administrator will also implement automation scripts and tools for routine tasks to enhance efficiency and set up monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and trends.
