About the position

I2X Technologies is a reputable technology services company dedicated to serving the Federal Government, with a focus on areas such as space exploration, national security, cyber security, and advanced engineering applications. The company is headquartered in Colorado and operates programs across the country, engaging with multiple Federal agencies and the Department of Defense, particularly in support of government space initiatives. As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operations of multi-user computer systems, virtual computer systems, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Your responsibilities will include performing system administration tasks, monitoring system performance, and addressing any issues that arise. You will also be responsible for backing up and restoring files, patching system and operating system software, and maintaining software licenses. Additionally, you will assist the Information Assurance (IA) Team with account management and system vulnerability management, providing access to system logs and instructions for monitoring user accounts while identifying and responding to security incidents. In this role, you will document concepts and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance with operational standards. The position requires a minimum of 9 years of experience in the field, or 7 years with an advanced degree, along with an active Secret clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Proficiency in RedHat Linux and experience as a database administrator with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB are essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and IBM AIX, as well as knowledge of CI/CD pipeline systems, virtualization, and software environment development, will be beneficial. You should also possess the ability to perform patching, upgrades, configurations, backups, restores, indexing, and scripting in Python or PowerShell. Responsibilities

• Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems and virtual computer systems.
• Perform system administration tasks for COTS software products.
• Monitor and correct system performance issues.
• Backup and restore files as needed.
• Patch system and operating system software.
• Maintain software licenses and assist the Information Assurance (IA) Team with account management.
• Provide access to system logs and instructions for monitoring user accounts.
• Identify and respond to security issues and incidents.
• Document concepts and procedures related to system administration.

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years of experience in database administration, or 7 years with an advanced degree.
• Active Secret clearance, SCI eligible preferred.
• Adept with RedHat Linux and database administration experience, preferably with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB.
• Exposure to Microsoft Windows and awareness of IBM AIX.
• Knowledge/experience with CI/CD pipeline systems, virtualization, and software environment development.
• Ability to perform patching, upgrades, configurations, backups, restores, indexing, and scripting in Python/PowerShell.
