Leidos is seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to support our Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB database management systems (DBMS) for various applications developed by our software development team. This role is critical as we have recently secured a significant multi-year contract that involves developing, integrating, deploying, and sustaining large collection systems for the government. The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and high availability of the DBMS, which is essential for the success of our operations. In this position, you will implement database installation procedures, disaster recovery steps, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, patching/IAVA mitigations, and data monitoring. You will collaborate closely with our Database Engineer (DBE) to implement PL/SQL and SQL performance tuning, architecture changes, and development prototypes. Additionally, you will work with the DBE and software team to evaluate and recommend new DBMS tools, strategies, and technologies that will help meet business requirements.
