GovCIO is currently hiring a Database Administrator for our HUD proposal. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and performance of our databases. The Database Administrator will be responsible for performing data movement, troubleshooting issues, and writing scripts to execute common database tasks. This is a fully remote position, allowing for flexibility while contributing to our mission of transforming government IT. In this position, the Database Administrator will maintain complex databases, which includes managing access methods, device allocation, validation checks, and ensuring the organization, protection, and security of data. The role also involves documentation and applying statistical methods to enhance database performance. The Database Administrator will be tasked with installing, configuring, migrating, restoring, and monitoring the security and performance of the systems to ensure they are not compromised. Additionally, the role provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, addressing more complex issues that may arise. The Database Administrator will also prepare and deliver presentations on Database Management System (DBMS) concepts, sharing knowledge and insights with team members and stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in database management and a passion for improving government IT services.
