ECS is seeking a qualified Database Administrator to join our team at the Stennis Space Center, MS office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management systems, including experience with database scheme design, operational efficiency analysis, and maintenance of both scientific and business databases. This role requires a commitment to supporting 24x7x365 operations, ensuring that all database systems are running smoothly and securely. The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting MySQL, MariaDB, and Oracle Relational Databases in a Linux environment, as well as hardening these databases against potential IT security incidents. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server is also a plus, as it will enhance the candidate's ability to manage diverse database environments effectively.
