About the position

The Database Administrator (DBA) at Cornerstone Defense is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the reliability and security of databases used in specific applications within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. This role requires a highly motivated professional with in-depth Oracle DBA experience, particularly in managing database structures and ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance. The DBA will work closely with an application developer and must have a strong understanding of IT and Cyber Security best practices to safeguard sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and operationally maintain the reliability and security of databases used in specific applications.
• Interact with extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) components to ensure proper data flow and performance.
• Maintain data security, access credentials, and policies.
• Administer database structures including Oracle PL/SQL and mySQL.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information.
• Work with AWS environment, including server installation and maintenance.

Requirements

• Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience and certifications.
• Significant experience administering database structures (Oracle PL/SQL, mySQL).
• Proven experience working in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment.
• Knowledge of public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Strong experience with certificates and Certificate Authorities.
