Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This position is part of a team that provides engineering and Information Technology services to provision, manage, sustain, innovate, modernize, refresh, reengineer, and secure the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of databases. You will administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. Your role will involve organizing and formatting data for efficient query and storage processes, establishing and maintaining database user accounts, and performing disaster recovery, performance analysis, and tuning. You will also be involved in index maintenance and monitoring of data, as well as evaluating requirements and recommending available DBMS products. Additionally, you will perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability, providing server administration with a variety of database products including Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, and SYBASE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of databases.
  • Experience in administering, maintaining, and implementing database security policies and procedures.
  • Experience organizing and formatting data for efficient query and storage processes.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining database user accounts.
  • Experience performing disaster recovery, performance analysis, and tuning.
  • Experience in index maintenance and monitoring of data.
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures for database security and integrity.
  • Experience evaluating requirements and recommending available DBMS products.
  • Experience performing database and software life-cycle activities ensuring high system performance and availability.
  • Experience providing server administration with various database products.

Nice-to-haves
