About The Position
The position requires a highly skilled SQL Server DBA with over five years of expert-level experience. The candidate will be responsible for managing SQL Server databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. The role involves working with SQL scripting, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and transaction analysis, along with a thorough understanding of indices and statistics. The candidate will also need to have experience with Microsoft replication and SQL Server Clustering, with a strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 administration and operations. Additionally, the role requires knowledge of Windows server operating systems and the ability to work in multi-platform environments. The DBA will be expected to optimize databases, plan capacity, and manage backup and recovery processes. The position also involves creating and maintaining DTS and SSIS packages for data transformation.
