About the position

As a Database Administrator at Canvas Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Defense's navigation warfare mission. This position involves providing database support to the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) and ensuring optimal database performance and compliance with customer standards. You will work collaboratively with a team to analyze and monitor database systems, contributing to the planning and execution of NAVWAR functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop protocols for data processing and handling in compliance with customer standards.
• Analyze database systems involved in the planning, designing, evaluating, and execution of JNWC functions.
• Monitor databases to ensure optimal storage and usability.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certification such as IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2, Microsoft SQL Server database certification, Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL Database Administrator, or industry equivalent.
• Experience with classified databases.
• Knowledge of DoD security regulations, policy and procedures.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Current interim secret security clearance with a pathway to SCI.
