About the position

CGI Federal is currently seeking Database Administrators with active Top-Secret clearances to support a large project for a federal government client. This position can be filled in Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL. The individual will work with an established team of developers, application engineers, and other DBAs managing a complex solution that supports multi-site replication, concurrent application users, logical and physical replication, and multiple reporting solution databases. The role requires experience in developing, executing, and evaluating database code, functions, and queries on an Oracle database platform. Additionally, the candidate should have experience installing, troubleshooting, and administering Oracle databases, as well as familiarity with Oracle utilities, administration, and OEM management.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex database solutions supporting multi-site replication and concurrent application users.
• Develop, execute, and evaluate database code, functions, and queries on Oracle database platforms.
• Install, troubleshoot, and administer Oracle databases effectively.
• Utilize Oracle utilities and manage OEM for database administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5-8 years' experience as a Database Administrator.
• Experience with Oracle Database Administration under Windows, Linux, AIX, and/or Solaris operating systems.
• Knowledge of Active Data Guard.
• Familiarity with other database technologies such as SQL Server, Informix, DB2, MySQL, and SAP Hana is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Desire and ability to work within a team environment of experienced DBAs.
• Active Top-Secret clearance.
