Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain MS SQL Servers
  • Configure and maintain Windows Cluster/SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
  • Plan, manage and optimize SQL server HA/DR policies and procedures
  • Create/migrate and deploy databases
  • Create and maintain database backup, maintenance and restore plans
  • Create automation for repeating database tasks
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance related issues
  • Test disaster recovery scenarios
  • Create tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and report queries related to database administration
  • Assume other database duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server
  • Experience with Windows Cluster and SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
  • Ability to plan and manage high availability and disaster recovery policies
  • Experience in creating and maintaining backup and restore plans
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance monitoring skills
  • Familiarity with database automation tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with other database management systems
  • Knowledge of cloud database solutions
  • Familiarity with database security best practices
