About the position

The Database Administrator at Tekfocus Minds LLC is responsible for managing and optimizing Snowflake databases, ensuring secure access and efficient data integration processes. This role requires a strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, hands-on experience with its components, and the ability to automate administrative tasks. The position is hybrid, allowing for a mix of remote and on-site work, and involves collaboration within an agile team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Snowflake databases and their components.
• Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for secure database access.
• Integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) and SCIM for identity management.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines for managing Snowflake code deployments.
• Automate administrative tasks using SQL and scripting languages.
• Collaborate with data integration tools for ETL/ELT processes.
• Conduct technical writing and create diagrams for database architecture.
• Participate in agile sprint teams and utilize JIRA for project management.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in SQL Database administration.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and components.
• Proficiency in Snowflake RBAC and SSO integration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Hands-on experience with data integration tools like Informatica and ADF.
• Ability to automate tasks using Python or Shell scripting.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry and with PII or PHI data.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with HL7 data standards.
• Proficiency in technical writing and diagramming tools like Visio.
