GovCIO is currently seeking a Database Administrator for our HUD proposal. This fully remote position is crucial for performing data movement, troubleshooting issues, and writing scripts to execute common database tasks. The Database Administrator will be responsible for maintaining complex databases, ensuring proper access methods, device allocation, validation checks, and the overall organization, protection, and security of the data. Additionally, the role involves thorough documentation and the application of statistical methods to enhance database performance and reliability. In this role, the Database Administrator will also be tasked with installing, configuring, migrating, and restoring databases, while continuously monitoring the security and performance of the systems to ensure they remain uncompromised. The position requires providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, which involves addressing more complex issues that may arise. Furthermore, the Database Administrator will prepare and deliver presentations on Database Management System (DBMS) concepts, contributing to the knowledge base of the team and enhancing the overall understanding of database operations within the organization.
