KBR is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) efforts related to Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM). The primary focus of this role will be to provide comprehensive Database Administration support for the AvPLM Integrated Product Team (IPT) and its customers. This includes maintaining application software, monitoring and troubleshooting issues within the software environment, and forecasting and planning for application capacity and demand. As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for managing databases, primarily working with Microsoft SQL, while also having the potential to work with Oracle databases when collaborating with external teams. In this role, you will regularly interact with other Infrastructure Administration sub-teams to support the AvPLM Cloud environments and a variety of supporting applications, including the Siemens Teamcenter PLM suite and eQube MI. You will collaborate with other System Administrators (SAs) and members from the Applications Administration team to perform various infrastructure and integration activities. This collaboration will also involve working with the AWS GovCloud hosted system boundary for the AvPLM environments and utilizing AWS Cloud Native Services to carry out your daily duties effectively. Your responsibilities will include performing daily checks of IT systems, triaging and monitoring NAVAIR National Help Desk support tickets, and completing Configuration Change Control Board (CCB) requests. You will also be tasked with general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in an unclassified network environment for applications, databases, integrations, or infrastructure as assigned. Additionally, you will support database performance monitoring, advise on database interactions for software installation, and provide troubleshooting support using application and Windows logs. Weekend and after-hours support may be required as part of your duties.
